BEYOND A CAREER FAIR

The DFI Equipment Rodeo is where horsepower meets real career potential. Step into the operator's seat, fire up full-scale construction equipment, and get hands-on with geo-tech and simulations—all alongside industry professionals who build our cities from the ground down.

You'll climb into cranes, excavators, forklifts and skid-steers, learn how they're operated, and see what it takes to build the bridges, buildings and infrastructure that keep our world standing. No experience required—just curiosity, drive, and willingness to learn.

PLEASE NOTE: The DFI Equipment Rodeo permission statement and consent form must be digitally signed by a parent or legal guardian if the participant is under the age of 18.

The DFI Equipment Rodeo is a high-impact, immersive program designed for individuals aged 16–19 who are ready to step beyond the classroom and into the driver's seat of the modern world. This is more than an introduction to construction; it is a direct connection to the professionals and the heavy-duty technology that builds our global infrastructure.

No prior experience is required—just curiosity, focus and a willingness to learn.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Who can participate?
A:Individuals ages 16—19 with an interest in construction, engineering and/or hands-on technology.
Q: Do I have to have a driver's license?
A:No, but you must present a picture ID at check-in. This can be a school ID, driver’s license, or other official photo ID.
Q: Do I need prior experience?
A:No experience needed—just curiosity, focus and a willingness to learn.
Q: What should I wear?
A:Closed-toe work boots or sturdy slip-resistant shoes, jeans and a long-sleeved shirt. All necessary safety gear will be provided.
Q: Is lunch provided?
A:Yes. Students and sponsoring industry professionals will enjoy lunch together and have time to discuss career options and answer other questions.
Q: Can parents attend?
A:Due to space availability parents are unable to attend.
